{ CATCH UP }

Rise and shine friends!  Anyone else out there kind of freaking out that September is almost over?!  This month has been one for the record books and has me dreaming of a spa day with my girls.  I took back to back trips New York for NYFW then New Orleans for a color show and as much as I love traveling I am so happy that I was finally able to spend this past weekend just being lazy with my family!

New York Fashion Week was a huge “career bucket list” opportunity and I was honored to assist the Living Proof team at the Tess Giberson show.  New Orleans was three full days of hair color trends and techniques and both trips left me incredibly inspired and ready to get to work!  The highlight of the show was hearing celebrity colorist Justin Anderson spill all of the details on doing Jennifer Aniston’s color (come see me at Mirror Mirror and I’ll tell you all about it).  Last week we got TEXAS GLAM to raise money for Partnerships for Children and the event was a huge success, thanks to all of you that came out!

After spending the weekend with some of my favorite bloggers virtually at Alt for Everyone, I have fallen in love with Pinterest all over again so make sure you are following along for the fun!

And because I’m a sharer…I’ve included some favorite links and announcements below to get you through your Monday!

MONDAY FUNDAY

Easily the most stylish friend I have, Stephanie Gawlik, has FINALLY launched a fashion blog called A NEW NEED and you all NEED (see what I did there) to stop what you are doing and go drool over her new site, follow her on Instagram and like her on Facebook!

GIRL CRUSH ALERT:  If you aren’t familiar with Miss Poppy Design then get familiar.  I am obsessed with her Instagram and it will make you want to race to the flower shop for a few dozen pink roses I promise!   (the cover photo on this post is all her)

DIY to Try:  You know all of those darling flower crowns you see all over Pinterest and at the music festivals?  Katie Taylor of Spraypaint & Chardonnay is breaking down exactly how to make one…soooo cute!

KID HALLOWEEN HALL OF FAME:  If you didn’t catch Oh Happy Day’s tiny Anna Wintour costume last year then you’re welcome.  They have done it again with super simple homemade costumes that will have you ready to get crafty this weekend!

INSTAGRAM TO FOLLOW:  If you are at all interested in following fashion bloggers then you will definitely appreciate the genius Instagram account of @BarbieStyle.  The pictures are precious but the captions are epic.  Go follow immediately!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:  Make sure you check out my new column ASK THE STYLIST.  I am answering YOUR questions on how to have the best salon experience.  I’d love to hear what other topics you’d like me to tackle!

I hope you all have a fabulous Monday!

XOXO

Martha Lynn
